The year 2022 has been a wild ride for the EWR, going from not-existing to all three teams playing half of their first season. As such we chose to celebrate with a combined Xmas/ 2022 wrap party. The evening featured a series of Elves Vs Reindeer indoor football games in the sports center (since it’s a bit cold and dark at the Mitchell football pitch this time of year). After which players and parents made their way to a nearby venue (i.e. a pub) for a party combined with the World cup semi-finals. It would have been better if England was still in the world cup, nonetheless, fun was had by all and I think most would agree it was a pleasant way to bring the 2022 football calendar to a close.
