Parking

At EWRFC we are located in a rural area with limited parking. We therefore ask parents to only park in specific areas to ensure access stays open in the lanes for large farm machinery, our neighbours, and the emergency services.

We also require the spaces closest to the pitch to be left free for home and away coaches. This will help ensure that matches go ahead on time, giving maximum Playing time for the children.

Parking is always available a short walk away in Mitchell Village, so please leave extra time and car share where possible.

Facilities

Be advised the EWR’s Mitchell ground is “agricultural” meaning there are limited facilities. As such:

  • There are no changing facilities. Players are requested to arrive in their match kit.
  • There are very limited toilet facilities (a single port-a-loo). Please plan accordingly.
  • The field is exposed to the elements so ensure you arrive with enough layers to stay warm (and dry)

Weather permitting the club runs a tea hut where coffee and snacks (and on occasion, bacon rolls) can be purchased.

Behaviour

Poor behaviour towards match officials including referees, linespersons, coaches and parent helpers is not acceptable. We ask all visiting teams and spectators to follow our Respect Code of Conduct.  See the policies here for full details

Most importantly:

  • Stick to the rules and celebrate the spirit of the game

  • Encourage fair play and high standards by your players and spectators

  • Always respect the referee and linesperson and encourage players to do the same

  • Never enter the field of play without the referees’ permission

  • Stay behind the respect barrier

  • Leave the coaching to the coaches – it is unhelpful for spectators to coach the children from the sidelines

  • Never engage in, or tolerate offensive, insulting or abusive behaviour

  • Be gracious in victory and defeat
