Round 1 – Mitchell Village

EWR faced up for the first round of its 2 part encounter with the Queen’s 70th Jubilee celebrations in Mitchell village on 3rd of June. On what was a scorcher of a day EWR put together a solid turnout, with members parading through the village and following it up with a picnic and games. There was even a glimpse of The Queen… well someone dressed up as The Queen.

Result: EWR 1 – Queen’s Jubilee 1

Round 2 – St Newlyn East

For round 2 proceedings moved to St Newlyn East on the 5th of June. Despite the cloudy conditions, a solid turnout set EWR off to a strong start. Members and non-members both new and old dropped past the stand on the all weather pitch for games of Beat-The-Goalie, Target-Shots, and Tombola. I think it is fair to say that, not only did we raise a little money that will go towards much-needed equipment and facilities for next season, we had loads of fun!

Final Result Result: EWR 2 – Queen’s Jubilee 2
