The club will be holding its Annual General Meeting next Sunday, 8th June, 6pm at Hendra Holiday Park.
This meeting will be the opportunity for you to hear what the club has been doing behind the scenes, and to have input into the decisions being made for the coming 2025/26 season – which promises to be a big one!
We have been fortunate to have incredible support from the coaches and committee again this year, who have given up so much of their time – free of charge – to coach your children and to organise and support all the club’s ongoing weekly activities. Please make the effort to support them by giving up a couple of hours of your time to attend the meeting, show your support, offer your opinions and insights, and hopefully pledge a little of your time as a future volunteer. It really does make the difference to have involvement from you, the parents.
Nominations are also now open for all committee positions, so if you, or someone you know, would like to take up one of these posts, please write in by email no later than 10pm on Wednesday 4th June to put the name forward of your chosen individual. eastwhealrosefc@gmail.com
Each person being put forwards will need a formal nomination and a seconder from among the existing club membership. Executive positions available are as follows: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Welfare & Safeguarding Officer. All existing committee members have indicated they are willing to continue in these roles (if nominated and voted in) – but don’t let that deter you, it’s your club, and the existing committee is very happy for there to be a contest. We all welcome of new ideas and new faces.
There will also be a range of non-executive positions and general committee memberships for any parents willing to support the club and guide its future direction. Please do put yourself forward by dropping us a message or an email, with an indication of what you may be willing to help with – be it fundraising, strategy, administration, communications etc etc. We want to hear from any of you who can lend a hand.
Minutes from the previous year’s AGM and Committee Meetings are available on the club’s website – along with our constitution and a wealth of other important info. Please take a look before you come along.
We hope to see you all at Hendra, and thank you in advance for your support.
